In art we have been taking photos and editing them in photoshop. We had to choose a style of editing. I chose Mauren Brodbeck who is a artist born in Switzerland. She covers the main subject in a colour.
My favorite photo is the one that go's from purple to pink. What's your favorite one? But I like how they all turned out. I also liked taking the photos with the figures
Last week we watched the movie The Maze Runner and a task we were given was to come up with the different types of government and find out some of the roles and rules.
Next week we are doing our EOTC week activities. One of the things we are doing is going to Jelly Park. I made a drawing with a things about pool safety.
Today we did the 100 word challenge. There was no image but it was about a giant a magical bubble that floats.
I was walking down the street early in the morning when I found a HUGE bubble. I went to go pop it when I fell over into the bubble and couldn’t get out. I tried for hours and hours but I couldn’t get out. So I went for a walk in the bubble. I was walking for a while then the bubble started floating. I couldn’t control it and it started floating towards the ocean. I tried running the other way but it wouldn’t stop. Then it popped and I fell into the ocean and swum back to the shore.

This week we did the 100 word challenge. The picture was about a teachers car had footsteps on it. Here is my story:
I think it was a ghost scaring people. They were scaring people and got shoes thrown at them. So the ghost put on the shoes. It was walking over everything then it got spotted by some people but you could only see their shoes. Then the people started chasing the ghost. The ghost started running all over peoples cars and stuff. Then the ghost got seen by more people. Then it got hit by a car and got the shoes taken off it. Then it disappeared then 10 seconds later there was an explosion and the ghost disappeared.
For the past few weeks we have been working on a projects using the sphero's. My groups project was two sphero's jousting. They had a box thing on them with a target and a joust. The sphero's were meant to go head on and one of them would hit the other target. Originally we used cardboard but then we changed to acrylic and cut it with the laser cutter.
We didn't end up getting it built but if we had more time I think it would have ended up pretty good. The problem with the prototype is kept dragging on the ground. We tried making skids but I didn't work and we didn't now what to make them out of. Another prototype we had was a wooden one. This one had a window though. It wouldn't move because the window was too big and it had nothing to push against. If it had no window I think it would have worked out quite well
This week we started learning about different leaders and whether they were heroes or villains. I chose to learn about Adolf Hitler and we made a timeline. Here is mine.
Today we did gymnastics in PE. We had to learn 3 different tricks. The ones I did were the half turn on the mini tramp, Forward roll on the mini tramp and cone jump on the beam.
Today we were working on the 200 word challenge. Its about a whale chasing a person.
The person was on a boat fishing. He caught something but couldn’t pull. it out of the water. He tried and tried and tried but just couldn’t pull it up. So he dropped the anchor of the boat and put his scuba gear on and grabbed his torch. He jumped in and started following the anchor chain down when he got to the bottom he turned on his torch. There were heaps of fish and moving objects. Then he saw a big moving object coming at him. He started climbing the chain as fast as he could. The object was getting closer and closer. He made it to his boat and tried to start his boat but it wouldn’t. BANG! Some hit his boat. He quickly switched his oxygen tank and grabbed a spear gun and shot the thing. Then he noticed it was a whale shark. BANG! His boat started sinking. He didn’t know what to do. Then he realised he had an inflatable life raft. He threw it out then the whale ate it. He jumped into the water and the whale started chasing him. Then it ate him. He was never seen again.
Over the past few days we have been working on a slide about leadership. Leadership is stepping up when things get tough and overcoming challenges and leading everyone to success. A leader should be able to work under pressure. Be able to make crucial decisions and be able to lead. We also did a quiz on what type of leaser we are at How good of a leader are you. Here are my results. Excellent! You're well on your way to becoming a good leader. However, you can never be too good at leadership or too experienced – so look at the areas where you didn't score maximum points, and figure out what you can do to improve your performance.

The dog was walking through the forest with its owner. They had been walking for about an hour then suddenly there was an earthquake. After the earthquake a couple trees fell down and one fell down across a river. The dog and its owner went to cross the tree when the dog slipped and fell in the river. The river was very violent and the owner could not get the dog. When it got out of the river the dog searched for hours but could not find the owner. It found a blanket, found some food and went to sleep.

Today We read the story Badge of Honour. Once we read the story we had to make an ending for the story.
I think when Miss Latu finds out she will tell Isaac off for not telling her. But Tomasi will probably get the badge taken off him and not be a school captain. But if he doesn't he might get a warning and if he fights someone again he will lose it. If Miss Latu finds out Tomasi is in a gang he might get expelled.
In class we have been working on tasks on pink shirt day and bullying. This poster has some facts about bullying. Pink shirt day is about bullying awareness and teaching people not to bully.
Yesterday we had market day. First we had to take a table outside and put a table banner on it and set up the game. At the start of the day there was barely any people but more people ended up showing up. We spent $18.50 on the supplies and only ended up getting a $13.50 profit which was a $5 loss. One of the reasons I don't think we got any profit is because we were hidden in the corner. Something I would do next time is try and get a spot closer to the middle.
Over the past few weeks we have been working on business and enterprise. Business and Enterprise is a project that we do where we make a product to sell in groups of four at a market day. Me and my group are making a game called Bucket Ball. In our game you have to get a ball in from a certain line and you get points. But you have to get more points than one of us or your friends. If you win you get lollies. We have set up everything and now we just have to get the supplies and set it up on the market day. As CEO I have to commit to my group respect the other people in my group showed resilience when stuff got hard and we have achieved and are ready for market day. I did this in year 7 and it was really fun. I hope this next one will be just as fun.
Over the past term we have been working on digital collages in art. They were inspired by Hannah Hoch who was an artist in the 1900's. We were told to make about 8 scrap books and 3 images.
The Image that I like the most here is my robot thing. I think It represents random going together to create an OK art piece. But I don't now how I thought of it.
