Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.
Definition: A technique for separating the different parts of a mixture / solid using liquid.
Rainbow paper
Materials;
1. chromatography paper.
2. pencil.
3. water base coloured pens.
4. ruler.
5. water.
6. cup.
Process:
Step 1: Get a piece of chromatography paper.
Step 2: rule 1 mm at the bottom and 2 mm at the top.
Step 3: put small dots on the 1 mm line.
Step 4: fold at 2 mm line.
Step 5: put water in cup.
Step 6: put the folded piece of paper in the cup, make sure the dots are in but just a little bit.
Step 7: watch the colours change and rise.Findings: I found that the colour rises and changes colours into the colours it was formed with
