Sadako Sasaki and The Thousand Paper Cranes

Today we had to answer some questions about Sadako and the thousand paper cranes. We had to watch a video and read a story. Here are the questions and answers.

Who is the girl in the video?

The girl in the video was Sadako Sasaki

-----------------------------------------------------------------Where is she?

She was in Japan

-----------------------------------------------------------------Why do you think she is there?

She died and the paper cranes took here there

 ----------------------------------------------------------------How did she get there?

The paper cranes took here there

-----------------------------------------------------------------How does she feel?

Sad but happy in the end

-----------------------------------------------------------------What is a paper crane and what does it represent

They happiness and success.

-----------------------------------------------------------------Add four facts to your work that you learned about the
real Sadako.

She died to leukaemia at 12 years old

Her friends raised money to build a satue

A bomb was dropped on the city when she was 2.

She made 1300 paper cranes
-----------------------------------------------------------------What CARR value do you think Sadako showed while

making her paper cranes?

This shows commitment

-----------------------------------------------------------------If you could choose a symbol of hope for the world during 2020 what would it be and why?

A vaccine for the virus.

Thanks for sharing your Sadako work. I wonder if you can connect some of the dots about why I would want us to learn about Sadako's story?

Something strange is happening with the formatting of the post. I think if you used a smaller font it would fit better on the page. Remember, a bigger font doesn't mean more work!
