The 100 Word Challenge

 Today we did the 100 word challenge. The image was a pug in a blanket. Here is my 100 word challenge.

The dog was walking through the forest with its owner. They had been walking for about an hour then suddenly there was an earthquake. After the earthquake a couple trees fell down and one fell down across a river. The dog and its owner went to cross the tree when the dog slipped and fell in the river. The river was very violent and the owner could not get the dog. When it got out of the river the dog searched for hours but could not find the owner. It found a blanket, found some food and went to sleep.

 Today we made a Pink Shirt Day T-Shirt design with  message on it. Here is my design: 

Badge of Honour

Today We read the story Badge of Honour. Once we read the story we had to make an ending for the story. 

I think when Miss Latu finds out she will tell Isaac off for not telling her. But Tomasi will probably get the badge taken off him and not be a school captain. But if he doesn't he might get a warning and if he fights someone again he will lose it. If Miss Latu finds out Tomasi is in a gang he might get expelled.

Pink Shirt Day

In class we have been working on tasks on pink shirt day and bullying. This poster has some facts about bullying. Pink shirt day is about bullying awareness and teaching people not to bully.

B&E Market Day

Yesterday we had market day. First we had to take a table outside and put a table banner on it and set up the game. At the start of the day there was barely any people but more people ended up showing up. We spent $18.50 on the supplies and only ended up getting a $13.50 profit which was a $5 loss. One of the reasons I don't think we got any profit is because we were hidden in the corner. Something I would do next time is try and get a spot closer to the middle.

Hurumanu 6 - Power to the people

We have recently started Hurumanu 6 - Power to the people. In this we are learning about politics and coming up with political parties. This week we had  to come up with a logo, a name, slogan, policies and a leader. Our name is Mint the slogan is lets be mint our leader is Aryan. We are an environmental party. Our policies are Plant more trees around the school, More bins around the school, Take care of the trees, Try to get the cafe to use less plastic and  Free mints in every classroom. These are still not confirmed.

Business and Enterprise

 Over the past few weeks we have been working on business and enterprise. Business and Enterprise is a project that we do where we make a product to sell in groups of four at a market day. Me and my group are making a game called Bucket Ball. In our game you have to get a ball in from a certain line and you get points. But you have to get more points than one of us or your friends. If you win you get lollies. We have set up everything and now we just have to get the supplies and set it up on the market day. As CEO I have to commit to my group respect the other people in my group showed resilience when stuff got hard and we have achieved and are ready for market day. I did this in year 7 and it was really fun. I hope this next one will be just as fun.
