Attitude Talk.
Today Emma and Rory from Attitude came in to talk about being safe with technology. It was really funny. We talked about technology and how to use and not use it. Stuff like appropriate use being safe and being mindful. They also talked about catfishing. Catfishing is when you pretend to be someone else. Remember be safe online

Yurtle the turtle

Yurtle the turtle is our new class turtle.
She is a female red eared slider.
She is about 15 years old.
The actual owner works at St Bernadette's, so she has lived at St Bernadette's while Mr Mitchell's wife has worked there.
The way we got them is we had to write a persuasive letter, and swap them for the frogs Yoda and Belle.

Here is my persuasive letter:

Dear Mrs Mitchell

Our class would like to have the turtles and in return you can have the frogs. There names are Yoda
(Boy) and Belle (Girl) and they are golden bell frogs. Here are some good things about the frogs.
If the class is quiet Yoda will croak, You can learn about their life cycle, they also come with a feeder.
The frogs are easy to look after. They are out when it is hot. So those are the reasons why you should
have the frogs

Can I please have a velociraptor for a pet?

A raptor is a good pet because it can take me to schoolz, it just needs a small bed like a dog bed and we can teach it to follow commands.

I can take care of it and it easy to feed its easy to. It’s also easy to transport.

We had do an  inquiry based on our category and question. Our category was chemistry and the question was why do different chemical  have different reactions.

A strange thing happened on the way to school today-Writing.
This was my instructions:

Title: A strange thing happened on the way to school today

Make up a story about something strange that happened on the way to school. Make sure you:

• have an orientation (where, when, who)
• describe the main characters
• tell me about a problem that happened
• tell me how the problem was solved
• end with a conclusion
• have a clear message, theme or moral.

Draft:

A strange thing happened on the way to school today.

I was scootering to school one day, When a meteor pod came down. BOOM!

I walked towards it. ARGH! IT WAS A ZOMBIE. I ran as fast as I could and jumped in a crashed truck. I tried to start it but it just wouldn't. Then it did. I drove off and parked in an alley and they ran right by me.I jumped in the back of the truck and realised it was a mobile armory truck. Bang! Bang! Bang! They found me. I grabbed an RPG, A Scar-L and a Revolver. Also a Hatchet. I kick the door open and run. I ran and ran, and I also accidently dropped my hatchet and revolver.

My only option was to run into the big science building. So I did  and locked the door. I ran up the steers to the third story. I smashed the window with a chair. Boom! I shot a rocket and then I got my Scar out and started shooting. I took down the whole hoard. Then I blew up the meteor pod.

I picked up my bag and stuffed the weapons and I ran home and went to be

I like how you gave us lots of information on the topic. I would like you to add more information about the problem. For example detail about how it looks, how it was doing what it was doing.

You forgot to add a title and the title adds a bit more information about the topic. I like how you gave us some detail about what you were doing but you might like to give us more detail about how you were going to school. Maybe you could give us more detail of where the meteor was seen to be going. You have given us a lot of detail about your solution.

Rubbish Clean Up

For the last few weeks 7Mt and 7DS have been working on statistics. We had to clean up rubbish around the school in just thirty minutes. The results were so impressive! We ended up cleaning up 2,900 peaces. Here are some graphs that I made.
