Shot putt

Shot putt Techniques:

  1.  You put the shot in your hand with your 3 fingers at the front and thumb at the back. 
  2. You move your hand to under your neck. 
  3. You put your hand out. 
  4. Then putt.

Discus Techniques:

  1. Roll of your small finger.
  2. Wrap 4 fingers around it.
  3. Stand side on to the line.
  4. Wind up.
  5. Throw.
High jump fosbury Flop:


  1. Walk up to the mat
  2. Spin around.
  3. Jump.
  4. Land With with your arms and legs up.

Long Jump:
  1.  Run up is 21 steps.
  2. Take off will be from the second marker.
  3. Land will be measured from the back foot.
  4. Land with both feet together.
  5. If you are over the second marker when you jump it will be a fowl jump.

    I'm pleased to see you are already getting into blogging this year. I am excited to see what you will be learning in Year 9 Hurumanu. I wonder if you could add some more detail or context to your introduction. I can see that these are tips for Athletics but you haven't made it clear why you are working on this or what the purpose of this blog is.

    I suspect you are practicing for our school athletics day, but it would be good to state that to your readers. Why have you been asked to blog these tips? What was the task?
