DTE

 I have started a new option called DTE 2. So far we have worked on the design process and a poster showing ergonomic sitting. We also got some certificates for hour of code.  I've learned a bit more about code so far. We learned how to use the  M Bot and code. My robot at the start one of the wheels wouldn't work but we fixed it in the end. So they worked quite well.

I have enjoyed this so far and can't wait to do more.

Mana Horomaka Art

 Today I made a Art piece showing Mana Horomaka or Hornby pride for a competition.

Mana Horomaka means pride to the school and Hornby for me.

I am a proud student because I like the school, the teachers and the people.

The 200 Word Challenge

This week we did the 200 word challenge. We could use 100 - 200 words and did about 130 words. We had to do it on a song. Here is the results and the video.

This reminds me of someone playing a piano. It sounds like a relaxing tune. The feather reminds me of a bird trying to get food in the winter. A bird searching for food in the snow. The bird stomped on the ground to get worms for its babies. Then people started getting stones thrown at it by some kids. Then it got hit and lost a feather and broke its wing but made it back to its nest. Later it had to search for more food but it couldn’t fly. Then the bird tried to fly out of the tree and it glided down and hit the ground with a thud. Then heaps of worms came out of the ground. The bird and its babies started eating all of the worms and they survived.

Life In The Middle Ages

This is a paragraph on the middle ages and the peasants.

What was life like in the middle ages? Interestingly, Life was very different for the rich and the poor. The rich like the king where he got heaps of good things. They got heaps of food they could shower daily and they lived in a castle. The poor on the other hand lived in villages and on farms and they only got a bit of food and showered monthly. Luckily we don’t live like that and it was rough for some people and easy for the others. Life sucked for peasants.

The 100 word challenge #2

Today we did the 100 word challenge. The image was three snowmen eating at a table.

Once there were three snowmen that were not like normal snowmen they could move and talk to each other.  They could also eat and drink. When it was not snowing they would live in a giant freezer. One snowy day they walked quite far away from the freezer, found a table and a few chairs and started eating some food and drinking some tea. They were thinking about how they could make the freezer look better. When they finished eating they went searching for stuff. Then the sun came out and they started running to the freezer but they melted.
